Creative Commons License
The Commission almost never places a copyright on the output from the office. Because it is hoped that the information will be shared, the Commission publishes content with a Non-exclusive Creative Commons non-commercial, with attribution, derivative works license, except when otherwise indicated with the work. Below is how the notice usually appears:
This license enables reusers to distribute, remix, adapt, and build upon the material in any medium or format for noncommercial

All works submitted for the literary contests, poetry and short story, DO have a copyright held by each individual student. The Danbury Cultural Commission has permission to publish the works, in any form, but the individual copyright for the original work remains with the writer.
